Printed Study Materials

Although it offers MBA courses in remote mode, the university addresses all needs of students' self-study. Students are given the option of printed books or printed study material and will be delivered in the application form at the address provided by you. Students must choose the option of printed studies by paying some additional fees at the moment of admission.

Online Study Material:

Online study material: IGNOU offers a number of digital self-study tools to students. Students can access the eGyankosh portal as a book and research repository. In addition, IGNOU has a mobile application for finding and downloading PDF books. The IGNOU e-content app, the online study materials mobile application of IGNOU, is readily available on the Playstore.

Weekend Counselling

IGNOU provides counselling or introductory sessions at weekends to describe the university and the course to students. Students will get weekend counselling sessions for 6 weeks at their nearest centre.

Audio and Visual Lectures:

IGNOU has made tremendous progress as compared to the olden days. The university has the facilities of audio and visual lectures and students can attend such lectures on the following platforms:

• Broadcasting Via DD1, All India Radio
• Screening of Lectures at Study Centers
• Recording which can be purchased
• Live Lectures on platforms like SWAYAM etc.

Radio Lectures:

IGNOU, in partnership with All India Radio and Phone-In Services, holds a number of interactive sessions. Programmes such as Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, Gyanvani and many others are available to introduce you to the curriculum.

Assessments

Tests and duties to evaluate the performance of a student in IGNOU will be used. Questions to answer and practical courses to complete such tasks are given to students from each subject. Students should do well at homework and end-of-life examinations.

Assignments

In order to be considered for final examinations, IGNOU accepts assignments from all classes and that must be delivered on time by every student. The official IGNOU website lists both course assignments and due dates for each theme. IGNOU weighs 30% of this work and requires student supervision. Online or at a regional centre near them, students may apply.

Examinations

Examinations take place in June and December each year. Exams make up 70% of the class of a pupil and, if the pupil fails the test, the pupil or pupil can reapply in the following cycle. You can apply again in December, for example, if you have failed the exams in June.
