The IGNOU provides a variety of audio and visual resources through multiple platforms to support the learning of the BA in Hindi program. These platforms include:

• - Broadcasting on DD1 and All India Radio
• - Screening of lectures at study centers
• - Recorded materials available for purchase, and
• - Live lectures on MOOC platforms like SWAYAM

Assessments

Evaluation in theoretical courses usually consists of two components: continuous assessment by means of assignments, and a Term End Examination. Assignments carry a weightage of 30% in a course, whereas the Term-End Examination carries a weightage of 70%. To pass a course, a minimum score of 40% is mandatory in both continuous evaluation (assignments) and the term-end examination.

Assignments

30% of the grades of students depend on their evaluations, and they must complete periodic assignments to be eligible for term-end exams. The assignments should be submitted on time, and they can find them on IGNOU's student section website. To ensure timely submission of assignments, students can conveniently use the online portal and are advised to check the website frequently to stay updated.

Term-End Examinations

The term-end examinations are held twice a year, in June and December, by IGNOU. Completion of the course is compulsory to be eligible to take the exam. As mentioned earlier, the term-end examination has considerable importance in the grading system, as it contributes 70% towards the overall score.

Study Materials

The BA Hindi program course content can be accessed by students through two options provided by IGNOU: either printed or online study materials. Students are free to choose which type of study material they prefer. If a student selects the printed study material option, an additional fee must be paid during the admission process. Conversely, those who opt for the online study material can conveniently download it from various university portals like eGyankosh and others.
