IGNOU Application Last Date Extended Up To 10th Sep Except For Certificate Programs

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has again extended the last date of the applications of all the Undergraduate(UG) and post-graduate (PG) Programs except the Certificate and the semester-based programs. Earlier the last date of all the UG, PG, Certificate, and diploma programs was 31st August 2024.  This time make sure you apply on time, so you do not miss registering. 

To apply it is a must for you to visit the official website of the IGNOU and it is also advised that you must download and read the common prospectus of IGNOU to know all the rules and regulations of the university. 

Follow these simple steps to enroll in an IGNOU

  • Visit the IGNOU website and find the applicant login area.
  • Click “NEW REGISTRATION” to begin.
  • Enter your details, such as name and contact info.
  • Pick a username that’s 8 to 16 characters long.
  • Create a password with 8 to 16 characters, using both letters and numbers.
  • After filling in everything, click “SUBMIT.”
  • Your username will be sent to you by email and SMS. Keep your username and password safe.
  • If you’ve already registered, just click “Log in.”

Required documents at the time of filling out the form

Be sure to include all required documents as follows:

  • Include all your scanned documents.
  • Include a scanned signature with a file size of less than 100 KB.
  • Upload a scanned image with a file size less than 100 KB.
  • If you belong to the SC/ST/OBC category, please enclose a scanned copy of your cast certificate (file size should be less than 200 KB).
  • Upload a scan of your educational qualifications, making sure each file is less than 200 KB.
  • If applicable, reduce the file size to less than 200 KB and include a scan of your experience certificate.

All about Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission, and Refund of Fee

Here’s the refund policy:

  • The registration fee is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel before confirmation, your payment will be refunded.
  • Canceling after confirmation will cost you 15% of the program fee or Rs. 2,000, whichever is higher.
  • If you choose soft copy course materials, only the registration fee will be deducted from your refund.
  • If you have a fee waiver and cancel, only the promotional fee will be refunded.
  • No refunds will be issued after 60 days from the date of admission completion.

Registration Fee 

All students must pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 300, which is due along with the first-semester program fee. Be sure to apply on time, and always check the fees and eligibility criteria on the university’s official website, as they can change frequently.

To people who could not apply for the certificate programs and semester-based programs at IGNOU, I would like to tell you that there are various other universities that are offering the same programs.
