IGNOU Application Last Date Extended Up To 30th Sep Except For Certificate Programs

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for applying for all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs, except for certificate- and semester-based programs. The last date has not been extended for six-month certificate programs and semester-based programs. For re-registration, a late fee of Rs 200 will be charged. The previous deadline was September 20th, 2024.

Make sure you apply on time so you don’t miss out on registering this time. 

To apply, visit the official IGNOU website. It’s also a good idea to download and read the common prospectus to understand the university’s rules and guidelines. 

Follow These Simple Steps To Apply 

You can follow the simple steps given below to apply:

  • Go to the IGNOU website and find the applicant login section.
  • Click on “NEW REGISTRATION” to start the process.
  • Enter your personal details like name and contact information.
  • Choose a username that is 8 to 16 characters long.
  • Create a password with 8 to 16 characters, using both letters and numbers.
  • Once everything is filled in, click “SUBMIT.”
  • You will receive your username via email and SMS. Keep your username and password safe.
  • If you’ve already registered, simply click “Log in.”

Required documents at the time of filling out the form

Make sure to include all the required documents as follows:

  • Upload all your scanned documents.
  • Add a scanned signature with a file size of less than 100 KB.
  • Upload a scanned photo, making sure it’s less than 100 KB.
  • If you belong to SC/ST/OBC, upload a scanned copy of your caste certificate (file size should be under 200 KB).
  • Upload your educational qualification certificates, ensuring each file is less than 200 KB.
  • If applicable, include a scanned copy of your experience certificate, keeping the file size under 200 KB.

All about Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission, and Refund of Fee

Here’s the refund policy:

  • The registration fee is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel before confirmation, your payment will be refunded.
  • If you cancel after confirmation, 15% of the program fee or Rs. 2,000 (whichever is higher) will be deducted.
  • If you opted for soft copy course materials, only the registration fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • If you received a fee waiver and cancel, only the promotional fee will be refunded.
  • No refunds will be issued after 60 days from the date of admission.

Registration Fee 

All students must pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 300, due with the first-semester program fee. Make sure to apply on time and always check the university’s official website for fees and eligibility updates, as these can change often.
