Eligibility Criteria

Graduation with 55% marks

A bachelor's degree from a UGC recognized university is required for students interested in pursuing an MBA in any specialization through distance learning. In addition, a minimum grading requirement of a 55 percent average is needed. After adhering to all eligibility criteria, you'll be able to take the OPENMAT entrance exam for the IGNOU distance MBA.

Course Duration

2-5 Years

The distance MBA in Power Management program lasts two years, but it can be expanded to a total of five years. IGNOU gives students a total of five years to finish the distance MBA program or pass all of the exams. As a result, working professionals who are unable to attend exams for one year due to a variety of reasons will reappear during the course period.

Admission Procedure 2024

You will need to pass the IGNOU OPENMAT Entry Test if you wish to obtain an MBA in power management. Students must register on the official IGNOU website for the OPENMAT exam, complete the application form, download the admit card and take the examination. You must complete a form and download all relevant documentation on the website after passing the OPENMAT exam. Students can use any digital payment mechanism to pay their student fees on the IGNOU website. The IGNOU Management Prospectus, which is published on the website, can be reviewed before applying for the Distance MBA programme.

Syllabus

Printed Study Materials are provided by the IGNOU individually at the official addresses of every student according to the course. To get the printed study material the students need to submit the extra fees.

Online Study Material

Students can access online study material online on different websites like e-Gyankosh. Also, there is an app oriented by IGNOU for the students to access the online study materials.

Weekend Counselling

IGNOU conducts immersive workshops to expose students to the university and curriculum weekly. On each subject, students will receive six counselling sessions. Although these sessions are not compulsory to attend.

Audio and Visual Lectures

IGNOU will provide audio and visual lessons through meetings on platforms such as:

• Screening of Lectures at Study Centers
• Recording which can be purchased
• Live Lectures on platforms like SWAYAM etc.

Radio Lectures

IGNOU hosts a series of immersive sessions in collaboration with All India Radio and Phone-In services. On channels like Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, GyanVani, and others, you'll learn about the course.

Assessments

Assignments and examinations are used by IGNOU to examine student performance. The following sections provide more information about the IGNOU examination pattern.

Assignments

To be eligible for the Term-End Examination the students are required to submit the written assignments on different topics. All assignment questions and due dates for each subject appear on the official IGNOU website. IGNOU weighs 30 percent of these tasks and allows students to monitor all the results. At their local regional centre, students may submit tasks either online or in person.

Examinations

Two exam cycles are offered by IGNOU: June and December. Exams represent 70 per cent of the mark of a student in each subject and if the student does not show up for exams, he or she needs to reapply within the next term. You can re-apply in December, for instance, if you failed to take tests in June.
